EdX for Business is renowned as an e-learning service provider for organizations. So, I used the upskill and training service for the employees of my ex and existing companies. Last time, I basically gave professional training on professional motivation to all my employees through edX, That was fantastic. After the successful upskill session, I got a positive return of that. The main problem of my organization was the lack of motivation and the old practice of doing the regular job. At that point, I feel the urge for professional upskill training by edX.
  • It offers professional upskill training.
  • It has wide variety of field for training.
  • It helps to utilize workforces.
  • In-depth of Organizational Behavior
  • Employee Management
Aa edX is a very renowned e-learning platform, so they have some strength in organizational upskilling and training. So, it is best suited to organizational upskilling on employee management, organizational behavior, marketing strategy, and so on. But for some aesthetic input to the organization edX is not that much suitable.
  • It's courses are very professional.
  • It has a strong knack for organizational training.
  • It has a huge variety of courses.
  • It has upscaled the existing talent of my organization.
  • It helped to reduce behavioral lack of the employee.
The very strong point of edX is that it is so much professional and it is specialized in organizational training and upskilling. It is one of the reasons why edX is a bit ahead of other e-learning platforms.

EdX is an awesome platform for certified learning, upskilling, and career preparation. Raymond is a leading expert in material handling and supply chain, and because of the vast expertise of the participating EdX universities, our managers and employees can become experts in the soft and hard skills necessary to move the business forward without relying on our own internal training department to figure out course material. It’s reliable and easy to use. Love the MicroMasters programs!
  • Variety of courses
  • User interface
  • Verified learning
  • Easy payments
  • Following forum posts when there are thousands of participants is clunky
  • The feature that is supposed to bookmark your progress and start you up back where you left off is rarely accurate
Employees are looking for employers who will invest in their futures. EdX is affordable at the enterprise level, offers certifications and degree programs that are recognizable from prestigious global institutions. It enables employers to give employees on-demand training and access to degree programs that would otherwise be difficult to attain.
  • Verified learning
  • Easy payments
  • Variety of courses
  • Improved morale for fulfilling training and certification requests
  • Team members readied for big transformation projects ahead of time
  • Reduced cost to develop in-house analytics dashboards and reporting
Coursera is another great platform. They are pretty comparable functionally. We chose EdX initially because of specific content that was requested for training. However, we also have users on Coursera because of specific content that’s only on that platform. The best advice I can give is choose the course material—the platform is less important.

Appropriate: To take e-courses and online learning with international universities and organizations on different topics of interest in the organizations. Allows the facility to access various devices like cellphones, tablets, and computers and advance at a pace with the possibility of rewatching the lessons and interacting with other users and mentors using a forum.
Inappropriate: To receive personalized training and interactions with users in a close way
  • Accesibility
  • Design of the moocs
  • Real case scenarios examples
  • There is no way to try the course for free to check if the content is interesting
  • Valuable certificates for the cv and linkdln
  • Well renamed certifications in the job market
Stack up:
Edx organizations and universities are highly renamed, with frequent updates or the addition of courses with similar topics- The topics used in the courses and programs are well developed and focused in nowadays world necessities which makes the professional who takes them very attractive for companies since formation is specific.

We help our current engineers uplevel their skill sets in relevant engineering areas by seeking out classes on edX and requesting they formally dedicate a portion of their time to them via their management chain. This allows our engineers to stay up to date with the latest technologies and stay focused on what they need to learn and improve on throughout the firm
  • Learning
  • Content Display
  • Shared Materials
  • Exams/exam structure
  • Collaboration with classmates
  • Tools for colleagues on the same class
I think the product is well suited for a company looking to help engineers gain individual skills, but not for more collaborative task.
  • The variety of courses
  • The credentialed instructors
  • The materials for use and review
  • Helped engineers upskill
  • Provided formal advancement for indivudals
  • Increased engineer satisfaction
